dr bruce roth Dr. Roth completed his adult psychiatry training at the University of Michigan Hospital in 1993, his child psychiatry training at Wayne State University in 1995 and his advanced psychoanalytic training at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute in 2016. He specializes in adult psychoanalysis as well as adult and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapy and medical psychiatry and is the medical director of Commerce Psychiatric Services, PLC.  He is also certified as a Qualified Medical Evaluator in Psychiatry for the Department of Workers Compensation in the State of California where he performs expert medical-legal evaluations for psychiatrically injured workers since 2017.  Dr. Roth was chief of consultation psychiatry at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township from 1995-2017. Dr. Roth has been in private practice for near thirty years.  He has been an instructor at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and taught medical students and residents as a clinical assistant faculty in the department of psychiatry at MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.   His special interests include psychoanalysis, emotional growth, interface between mind-brain-physical health, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, post traumatic stress  and resiliency.  In his free time he enjoys travel and spending time with his family and his loyal dog Layla in northern Michigan.
