Anne Zamler is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has practiced psychiatric nursing since 1993 at Sinai-Grace Hospital. She received her Masters Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing from Wayne State University in 2016. Anne considers the physical, social, and historical context of the individual, when developing a plan of care. She is dedicated to lessening the pain of emotional and mental illness, while promoting wellness in all spheres of functioning.
Anne appreciates the courage and struggle of seeking help for the first time, and strives to provide education regarding options when taking psychiatric medications. Anne feels that understanding our emotions is a life long endeavor, and counseling can be an effective option in achieving wellness.
Anne is an adjunct faculty at Oakland Community College, and finds teaching new nursing students about mental illness extremely rewarding.
