Kathryn Mikol is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing psychiatric mental health nursing since 2016 and completed her graduate degree as a PMHNP from Frontier Nursing University in 2022. In addition to psychiatric mental health nursing, she has practiced nursing in Cardiology, Women’s Health, and LGBTQ+ Health.
Kathryn uses a holistic and integrative approach to treating mental health, understanding that whole-person or holistic health includes one’s physical, social, mental, and emotional health across one’s life span; stressors or deficits in any one of these areas of health impact the others. The goal of her practice of psychiatric mental health care is to create collaborative patient-centered treatment plans that promote mental, emotional, social, and physical health behaviors based on each individual’s needs.
Kathryn enjoys the outdoors, riding horses, reading, and gardening in her free time. She also trained in meditation techniques at the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania and has a daily meditation practice.
